Underground Brooklyn songwriter Dan English gives us a tender guitar song, 'In Grace'– taken from In Grace EP, out December 4th, 2020. Opening the track is a basic drum machine pattern, followed by two acoustic guitars that alternate between charming plucks and strums. Reminiscent of Yo La Tengo, Dan English sings with a beautiful fragility, accompanied by his sister, Melody English, who offers lush higher parts. Played by Camellia Hartman, expansive violin joins towards the end, amplifying the sentimental feel of the song. There's a real sense of contentment from the variety of wholesome tones, the emotion of the song epitomised by the line, 'There's no need to be scared'.
